The Company

 

This Midlands based company is a local representative of a reputable producer of high quality in-door climate solutions, primarily for housing estates, offices and the public sector.

 

The main responsibilities of the office is to serve customers and clients with direct sales activity, backed up with calculations, design of customized solutions, technical advice, quotes and follow up on orders.

 

Due to reorganization and rationalization of the internal procedures combined, with an increased activity, the company is now looking for a flexible technical skilled employee to take care of the calculations, quotes and technical advice on the phone.

 

 

The Position

 

The company is looking for a technical service/sales employee to serve the clients from the office. The main tasks will be:

 

·         Supply the clients with technical information and advice on technical project solutions.

·         Define projects and products in co-operation with the clients.

·         Calculate projects and make quotes.

·         Handling of claims.

·         Follow up on delivery and local production.

 

 

The Candidate

 

The company is looking for a technically skilled employee with current or very recent experience in heating, in-door climate or sanitary installations. Candidates are likely to be educated to  HND/HNC, OND/ONC or maybe bachelor level. Work experience should derive from at least 3-5 years work directly serving customers with the definition of technical projects; technical and specification calculations; drafting written quotes; and providing technical information and advice. Experience designing technical installations would also be an advantage. Good written and verbal communications skills are essential

 

The job requires a calm and flexible personality, with the ability to handle and enjoy many tasks at a time. They must be able to work in a structured and organised way, while also attending to important technical details. They will be service oriented and used to dealing with handling complex issues on the phone. This is a small and busy office where people support each other and contribute to the team output by their attitude and flexibility – everybody will need to cover for their colleagues to ensure the customer’s needs are met.

 

The candidate must live within an hour from the office where this position is based.
