Hyosung Group, which is one of South Koreas leading industrial groups, is searching for the best experts with documented experience from the wind turbine industry. You will get a central role as technical advisor and team leader in Hyosung’s Wind Energy Division.

THE COMPANY

Hyosung Group is one of South Koreas leading industrial groups, consisting of 7 business units, of which Power & Industrial Systems cover approx. 20% of the total turnover.

The Wind Energy Division has its headquarters in Seoul, and has over the last decade developed sub-assemblies for wind turbines, and set up wind turbines primarily in Asia. Hyosung masters turbine capacities from 750KW to 2 MW, and has started the development of 3 and 5 MW units for both land based installations as well as offshore.

The primary market area in the coming years is Asia, mainly China and India, where there are planned expansions of production units and development centers.

A particular focus is to apply many years of experience in transformers, generators and other industrial power units  to support clients’ ”end to end” capacity needs, in which wind turbines are a central unit.

Hyosung now wishes to intensify the development of new concepts/products within land- and offshore based units, so as to achieve an overall objective of being a TOP10 supplier within these market sectors.

Therefore, Hyosung are establishing a Competence Center in Rostock, where the European experts will be a key element in the development of the division.

THE POSITIONS

Hyosung wishes to offer a number of competent ”wind-professionals” an opportunity to contribute to this development in accordance with recognized standards ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

Candidates are requested to show documented experience from the wind turbine industry, or relevant sub suppliers. Common for all positions will be tasks within:

• Evaluation and development of design and methods
• Education of Korean organization
• Cooperation with European companies, advisors and institutions

Corporate language is English, and therefore candidates are expected to possess good formulating skills both in spoken and written. Basic German language skills will be an advantage for the positions in Germany.
